Summertime is here!
Summertime is here and the Honeybuns team are heading down to the meadow with picnic rugs, lashings of ginger beer and our Honeybuns tins filled with all our favourite sarnies and Honeybuns cakes, followed by a game of rounders. Our tins are the ideal size to use for picnics, packed lunch or just to keep on the kitchen dresser amply stocked with your fave Honeybuns. You can order the tins filled with a selection of our bespoke mixes, such as Chocolate Aficionados' Special, Dairy Free and Delicious, Cookie Mix or a whole selection of other Honeybuns cakes.
We have a wonderful new addition to our Honeybuns gift range. Our cute and cleverly designed mini blackboards can be clipped in place using the integral clip, or popped onto your fridge door as the clip is also magnetic. Brilliant! AND they're hand made in England especially for us using wood from well managed forests.
We are offering a special 10% discount on all online shop orders until the end of August! To get your discount just quote FREDDIE at the checkout. |

Busy Bee's
It's been a busy couple of months here, what with running our home from home Honeybuns cafe at Glasto, attending the Coeliac UK AGM, opening the Bee Shack Cafe on the first Saturday of the month, training for the Sturminster Half Marathon in August, and being general busy bees getting all orders out to our lovely customers on time. The newly extended Bee Shack Cafe is looking more gorgeous each time we open, and we are currently sprucing up the outside area including the addition of a beautiful hand carved oak pergola. The next Bee Shack open day is Saturday 6th August where you can treat yourself and your friends and family to a delicious range of gluten free snacks and lunches, or just for tea and cake. You can also meet Freddie the Shetland pony!
But the best news has to be that Em has been asked to write a Honeybuns recipe book. We are all sooooo excited, especially Em! Crammed with oodles of delicious recipes and information about Honeybuns, it will be launched next Easter. Em and Charlotte are busily baking like mad things in the Bee Shack and testing all the gluten free recipes on the Team guinea pigs. You can follow Em's blog and our Facebook page for more news and regular updates on how they are getting on. |

Chernobyl Children Visit
Earlier in July we were visited by a group of 13 children from Chernobyl, who had been visiting Dorset for a month staying with host families. They had great fun making their own cookies in the Bee Shack and exploring the nature reserve, with a few space hoppers thrown in for good measure. The trip was organised by the Chernobyl Childrens Lifeline Charity, who each year organise youngsters from Belarus to visit the United Kingdom and other 'clean' countries, with the hope the children can recuperate and have as much time as possible having fun. Belarus received over 70% of the radioactive fallout from the Chernobyl nuclear explosion in April 1986 and as a result thousands of children are either born with or go on to develop thyroid cancer, bone cancer and leukaemia. |

Honeybuns Hotties
We thought we would like to share with you some of our wonderful Honeybuns retailers, and this month have our spotlight on Cafe in the Park. With a cafe in both the Aquadrome, Rickmansworth and Higginson Park, Marlow, this wondeful family run business started 5 years ago with the ethos to buy local, cook fresh and select ingredients that have a low impact on the environment. Everything from the menu to the decor is beautifully thought out and will put a smile on your face, especially the framed pants signage for the loo's! Open 7 days a week, these family friendly light and airy cafe's also open on a Friday and Saturday evening, and are fully licensed. They are committed members of the SRA (Sustainable Restaurant Association) and are passionate about stocking the best of everything, and hence have been stocking Honeybuns for a few years now. It was also lovely to see Carly, the owner, here at Naish Farm earlier this summer when she came to visit us.
Coming soon is the Honeybuns Bee's Knees competition, where you will be able to vote for your favourite Honeybuns stockist and be in with the chance of winning gorgeous Honeybuns goodies. Watch out for more information in our next newsletter! |

Things you love
"This rarely happens but I had to email you to say that your caramel shortbread is one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted....I wouldn't have normally gone for it as it seemed rather expensive compared to other cakes but I wanted to try it and wow it was worth every single penny"
M.O.
"I just bought one of these from Pod in London. It is the best caramel shortbread I have had since my mum used to regularly make them. Thanks."
